What are Tooletries scrubbers made from?
Our scrubbers are made from high-quality silicone designed for everyday use in the shower.
Unlike traditional loofahs and sponges, silicone is durable, easy to clean, quick to dry, and designed to withstand regular use in wet bathroom environments.
Why doesn't my scrubber create as much foam as a plastic loofah?
Tooletries scrubbers work differently from traditional plastic loofahs, sponges, and washcloths.
You may notice less foam or lather during use. This is completely normal and does not affect your scrubber's ability to clean and exfoliate your skin.
For best results, apply your body wash directly to your skin, add a little water, and work it into a light lather before using your scrubber. This helps activate the lather and allows the scrubber to spread it evenly across your skin.
What's the difference between the Scrubber and Scrubber 2.0?
Both products are designed to cleanse and exfoliate the skin using high-quality silicone.
Body Scrubber (Original): Standard bristle length, deeper exfoliation, minimal lather.
Body Scrubber 2.0: Longer bristles, softer feel while still exfoliating, more luxurious foamy lather.
Are Tooletries scrubbers suitable for sensitive skin?

How do I use The Shearer?
1. Prep Your Skin: Before grooming, ensure your skin is ready to shave. The Shearer is waterproof and is suitable for wet and dry use.
2. Trim with the Grain: Start trimming in the direction of hair growth.
3. Begin with Longest Guard: If it's your first time, use the longest cutting guard. You can gradually reduce the guard length for a closer trim or remove all guards for the closest shave.
4. Clean your blades: Once you are happy with your shave, make sure to clean your blade by running it under warm water and drying.
Can I use The Shearer or Ranger in the shower?
Yes, The Shearer can be used in the shower. However, it should not be submerged in water or left sitting in water for extended periods.
After use store it in a dry location outside of the shower.
Is The Shearer or Ranger suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — both devices are designed for comfortable everyday grooming. For those with sensitive skin, we recommend:
- Trimming with the grain on the first pass.
- Using light, even pressure — avoid pressing the device into the skin.
- Ensuring blades are clean and sharp before each use.
- Starting with a longer guard attachment if available.
Can I use The Shearer for below-the-waist grooming?
Yes. The Shearer is designed for comfortable grooming across the body, including below-the-waist areas.
For the best experience, trim slowly using light, even pressure and avoid pressing the blades directly into the skin. If it's your first time grooming a sensitive area, we recommend starting with a longer guard attachment before trimming closer.
Always ensure the blades are clean and in good condition for the most comfortable trim.
Which guard length should I use?
If you're unsure where to start, we recommend beginning with the longest guard attachment and gradually working your way down until you achieve your preferred trim length.
As a general guide:
- Longer guards leave more length and are ideal for tidying up or reducing bulk.
- Shorter guards provide a closer trim and a more groomed appearance.
- No guard delivers the closest trim.
When grooming sensitive areas, it's always best to start with a longer guard first and reduce the length gradually if needed. This helps achieve a comfortable, even trim while minimizing the risk of irritation.
My Shearer won't charge — what should I do?
If your Shearer isn't charging, try the following:
- Connect the charging cable to a different USB power source.
- Ensure the charging cable is securely connected at both ends.
- Clean the charging contacts on both the device and cable to remove any build-up.
- Leave the device on charge for at least 2 hours, especially if the battery has been completely depleted.

My Shearer is pulling or tugging — what should I do?
Pulling or tugging is usually a sign that the blades need cleaning or replacing.
Try the following:
- Remove the blade head and brush away any hair, debris, or product build-up.
- Clean the blades according to the care instructions and allow them to dry completely before reattaching.
- Reassemble the trimmer and test it again.
If the issue continues after cleaning, the blades may be worn and need replacing. We recommend replacing your blades every 3–6 months, depending on usage.

How do I clean and maintain my Shearer or Ranger?
After each use:
- Remove the blade head and brush away hair clippings using the included cleaning brush.
- Rinse under warm running water if your product is water-resistant (check your product page to confirm).
- Allow all parts to dry fully before reassembling.
- Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or abrasive tools on the blades or device body.
Regular cleaning extends blade life and ensures consistent performance.
How often should I replace the blades?
We recommend replacing blades every 3–6 months depending on frequency of use. Signs that your blades are due for replacement include:
- Pulling, tugging, or snagging during use.

The Shearer and Ranger are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects, battery issues, and charging faults.

How do I clean my mirror?
To keep your mirror performing at its best:
Cleaning the mirror
- Rinse with clean water when needed.
- Do not use cleaning sprays, chemical cleaners, or abrasive or microfiber cloths on the mirror surface, as these can damage the fog-resistant coating.
Important care notes
- Do not use abrasive pads, brushes, melamine sponges, or harsh chemical cleaners on any Tooletries product.
- Always install and use products as directed.
- Ensure both the mounting surface and your hands are completely clean and dry during installation.
Why does my mirror fog up in the shower?
To get the most from your mirror's fog-resistant coating:
- Position the mirror away from direct water flow.
- Turn on your bathroom exhaust fan or open a window during and after showering.
- Rinse the mirror regularly with clean water to prevent residue buildup.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, cloths, or sponges that may damage the coating.

What is the warranty on Tooletries mirrors?
All Tooletries mirrors are backed by a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, accidents, normal wear and tear, or damage to the fog-resistant coating resulting from abrasive cleaning methods.
